Lesson Plan

1Opening (3 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse music adventure! Let's remember how we clapped to the beat last week and talked about praising God through music.

💭 Review Question: Can you show me how you clapped to the beat of 'This Little Light of Mine'?
2Teaching (8 min)

Today we'll explore how sounds can be high like the sky or low like the ocean, just as God created everything from the highest heights to the deepest depths.

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • High sounds are like tiny birds singing way up in the sky
  • Low sounds are like deep whale songs in the ocean
  • God made ALL sounds - from the tiniest chirp to the loudest thunder
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • What high sounds can you think of?
  • What low sounds do you hear around you?
3Activity: Sky and Ocean Sound Adventure (10 min)
movement

Use your body and a scarf to show high and low sounds

📝 Instructions:
  1. When you hear a high sound, reach up high with your scarf
  2. When you hear a low sound, crouch down low
  3. Listen carefully and move your body like the sound
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Parent makes high and low sounds for child to follow

Challenge: Child creates their own high and low sounds for parent to move to

4Closing (3 min)

Remember, God created all sounds - from the highest heavens to the lowest depths!

📝 Review Questions:
  • What was your favorite high sound?
  • What was your favorite low sound?

Coming up: Tomorrow we'll play echo games with high and low sounds!
