Today we will write about a special day in our lives. Remember to include three important parts: the beginning (who was there, where were you), the middle (what happened), and the end (how did you feel).
Students will write and illustrate a personal narrative about a special day using their graphic organizer.
Simpler: Draw pictures to tell the story if writing is challenging
Challenge: Add dialogue or more descriptive details
Share one or two stories with the class and celebrate everyone's special day.
Dear Jesus, thank you for the special days you give us. Help us to appreciate and remember the joy in each day.
Coming up: Tomorrow we will share our stories with each other in a Story Sharing Circle!
