Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle. Explain that today we'll learn about the middle of a story - where all the exciting things happen!

💭 Review Question: Who can tell me what happens in the MIDDLE of a story?
2Teaching (8 min)

Stories have three parts: beginning, middle, and end. The middle is where characters do things and solve problems.

  • Middle tells what happens in the story
  • Use words like 'first', 'then', 'next'
  • Middle shows action and excitement

  • What might happen in the middle of Jesus healing someone?
