Gather in a circle. Remind students about the week's opinion writing and today's goal of sharing respectfully.
Demonstrate how to share an opinion piece with good speaking skills and body language
Students take turns sharing their opinion writing from the week
Simpler: Share with a partner instead of whole group
Challenge: Add a question time after each sharing
Celebrate everyone's unique opinions and good listening
