Gather students in a circle and ask them about their favorite place. Explain that today we'll learn how to describe places using all our senses.
Teach students about using sensory details to describe places. Discuss how we can use our five senses to create a vivid picture with words.
Students will draw and describe their favorite place using a sensory detail chart
Simpler: Focus on just two senses (sight and sound)
Challenge: Write a short paragraph describing the place
Share a few descriptions and celebrate how wonderfully God creates different places
