Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle. Explain that words called 'verbs' tell us when something happens.

💭 Review Question: Can you show me an action happening right now?
2Teaching (7 min)

Introduce three verb time groups: past (already happened), present (happening now), future (will happen soon)

  • Past verbs tell about things that already happened

Sort verb cards into past, present, and future time groups

📝 Instructions:
  1. Give each student three colored sticky notes
  2. Write 'Past', 'Present', 'Future' on notes
  3. Place sticky notes in different areas of room
  4. Read verb cards and have students move to correct time area
