1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and ask them what they know about being brave. Explain that today we'll learn about how George Washington was brave while leading soldiers.

George Washington led the American soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Even though the British army was stronger, Washington never gave up. He trusted God and worked hard to help his country be free.
