Gather students in a circle and ask them to show their bravest hero pose. Discuss what makes someone brave.
Introduce five hero character traits: honesty, bravery, kindness, perseverance, and responsibility
Students sort character trait cards into matching categories on a large poster board

Challenge: Have students give examples of each trait
Remind students that God helps us be heroes by giving us courage
