Understand basic reasons why communities change

Gather students in a circle and show images of the same community from different time periods. Ask them what they notice is different.
Communities change because people have new needs, new inventions help them live differently, and families grow and move.
Create a poster showing how communities change, drawing pictures of old and new ways of doing things.
Simpler: Use pre-cut pictures to paste
Challenge: Add written descriptions of changes
Review how God loves us through all changes, just like communities change but His love stays the same
Dear Jesus, thank You that You never change, even when our world does. Help us see the good in community changes. Amen.
