Gather children in a circle and ask them to think about what they might want to be when they grow up. Explain that all jobs can be ways to help people and serve God.
Talk about how different jobs help our community. Doctors help people feel better, farmers grow food, teachers help children learn. God wants us to do our best in whatever job we choose.
Children will draw a picture of themselves doing a job that helps people
Simpler: Provide career sticker or pre-drawn job outlines
Challenge: Write a short sentence about how their job helps people
Remind children that God loves them and wants them to use their talents to help others
Dear Jesus, thank you for giving us special talents. Help us use our future jobs to love and serve others. Amen.
