Gather students in a circle and ask them what their parents or family members do for work. Explain that today we'll learn how everyone can be both a producer and a consumer.
In our community, people have different jobs that help others. A farmer produces food, but also buys tools. A teacher helps children learn, but also buys groceries. God designed us to work together and help each other.
Children draw a picture showing themselves as a producer and a consumer
Simpler: Teacher helps draw examples
Challenge: Write a sentence about each role
Remind students that God created us to work together and help each other in different ways.
Dear Jesus, thank you for giving everyone special ways to help others. Amen.
