Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and ask them what their parents or family members do for work. Explain that today we'll learn how everyone can be both a producer and a consumer.

💭 Review Question: What job do you know about that helps people?
2Teaching (10 min)

In our community, people have different jobs that help others. A farmer produces food, but also buys tools. A teacher helps children learn, but also buys groceries. God designed us to work together and help each other.

  • People can make things for others
  • People also buy and use things others make
  • Everyone has an important role
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • What does your family produce?
  • What do you like to buy?
  • How do different jobs help each other?
3Activity: My Two Roles (7 min)

Children draw a picture showing themselves as a producer and a consumer

📝 Instructions:
  1. Fold paper in half
  2. On one side, draw yourself doing a job
  3. On the other side, draw yourself buying something
  4. Share your drawing with a friend

Remind students that God created us to work together and help each other in different ways.
