Gather students in a circle and ask them what they know about rules in their community. Show pictures of traffic lights, crosswalks, and safety signs.
Explain that laws are special rules that help everyone in a community stay safe and work together. Community laws protect people, help us use roads safely, and make sure everyone is treated fairly.
