“For Yahweh sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”
— 1 Samuel 16:7 (WEB)Just as we learn to look beyond size in people, we can explore how size creates importance in art
Welcome to today's BibleMouse art adventure! Yesterday we learned about where our eyes first look in pictures. Today, we'll discover how size helps us know what's most important.
In art, just like in God's world, size can tell us what matters most. When something is bigger, our eyes naturally look there first!
Create a picture where one thing is much larger than everything else
Simpler: Draw a big animal with tiny trees
Challenge: Create a scene with multiple size differences
Let's look at our artwork and talk about what makes our big object special!
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn how color can also make things stand out!
First graders are learning spatial relationships and visual hierarchy
